Hardworking Oscar winner Clint Eastwood releases his second film in 2008 (after CHANGELING) with this drama. Eastwood also stars as Walt Kowalski, an older man and retired Korean War hero who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his neighbourhood and the world around him. However, when he catches a local kid trying to steal his prized car—the Gran Torino of the title—as part of a gang initiation, Walt overcomes his bigoted outlook and decides to put the boy on the right path.
