On April 28th, two weeks after the DVD release, the Weinstein Company has announced that they will be bringing Stephen Daldry’s ‘The Reader , based on Bernhard Schlink’s German novel, to Blu-ray. This is the movie for which actress Kate Winslet recently won the Academy Award for best actress. Technical specs have not been announced at this time, but you can expect a 1080p VC-1 video presentation along with a lossless/uncompressed soundtrack.

Extras include 12 deleted scenes and five making-of featurettes.
