Larry Crowne Blu-ray To Be Released On November 15

Universal Studios Home Entertainment made the announcement that the Blu-ray version of romantic comedy film Larry Crowne will be released on the 15th of November.

Not only has the rom-com been directed by Tom Hanks, but the actor/director also stars in the film as well. The film also stars Julia Roberts, while the supporting actors include Bryan Cranston, Cedric the Entertainer, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Wilmer Vilderamma. Tom Hanks plays a middle aged man who decides to get enrolled at a local community college, after being advised by his friends, due to losing his job at a big-box store because of not being college educated. At his new college, it does not take long before Larry realizes that he has fallen for his beautiful English professor.

It was during July this year that the film made its theatrical debut, but the big budget films of the summer prevented it from making a big name. Unfortunately most of the reviews received by the film were negative ones and its total earnings in the U.S. merely managed to reach up to $35 million. The film also marked the return of Tom Hanks in the director’s chair but the performance of the film was rather disappointing.

The Blu-ray version of Larry Crowne will be featured in an aspect ratio of 2:40:1 with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The confirmed additional features in this Blu-ray edition include:
