Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment have announced that “The Jungle Book” and “Sleeping Beauty” will be receiving the Diamond Edition treatment in 2014. The Jungle Book is expected to be released on February 11 and it will include all new special features. Sleeping Beauty has already been released on Blu-ray a few years ago (2008), but Disney will be releasing a Diamond Edition in October and it too will receive new special features. The two titles will join the already released Diamond Editions including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, Peter Pan and the soon to be released The Little Mermaid. No further details were provided for either title, but we’ll continue to update as more information is available.
