GODZILLA screenwriter Max Borenstein to tackle sequel

Max_BorensteinIt looks like Max Borenstein has become Legendary Pictures’ go-to guy for when it comes to penning their giant monster flicks.

Hot off of this year’s GODZILLA, Borenstein has already been said to be working on Legendary’s upcoming King Kong prequel, SKULL ISLAND. Now it’s been confirmed by Deadline that Borenstein will also be writing the screenplay for Gareth Edwards’ GODZILLA 2.

When you read that, you really can’t help but wonder whether this’ll lead to a remake of KING KONG VS. GODZILLA. With Borenstein penning both monsters, it’d only make sense.

SKULL ISLAND hits theaters November 04, 2016. GODZILLA 2 will follow in 2018 on June 8th.
