Jason Statham’s THE MECHANIC resurrected

In 2011, CBS Films released the action-packed THE MECHANIC that starred Jason Statham, Ben Foster and Donald Sutherland. While the film didn’t bring in loads of cash, it was apparently popular enough to warrant a sequel.

MECHANIC: RESURRECTION will return Statham to his role as hitman Arthur Bishop. Joining him this time around will be Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh. The film began production last week in Bangkok, Thailand.

The new film will be distributed by Summit Entertainment and helmed by WE ARE THE NIGHT director Dennis Gansel. MECHANIC: RESURRECTION opens January 22, 2016.
