GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hits U.S. retailers on December 9th and we have a question for you: which version are you buying? How many? Can’t decide? Well, maybe Hi-Def Ninja can help. There are three major “brick-and-mortar” retailers that will all have different versions of the packaging: Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart.

Best Buy is selling the limited edition Blu-ray SteelBook with artwork that looks like Star-Lord’s Walkman with the Awesome Mix #1 playing inside. They will also carry a Blu-ray combo pack with 3D, 2D and Digital HD versions as well as the single 2D Blu-ray version.

Target is selling the Blu-ray combo pack with the 3D, 2D and Digital HD versions with an exclusive featurette: “An In-Depth Look at Creating the Galaxy”. It’s viewable on the Target Ticket Website. Target will also carry the single 2D Blu-ray version.

Wal-Mart is doing something similar to what they did with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER by putting the 2D Blu-ray in exclusive, individual slipcovers of each member of the GUARDIANS team: Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Drax the Destroyer. They’ll also have the 3D combo pack available.
