Lana Condor has been cast as Jubilee in the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

A few days ago, Bryan Singer announced that X-MEN: APOCALYPSE had found its Jubilation Lee, or better known as Jubilee. It’s newcomer Lana Condor who will (hopefully) wear the yellow jacket as the mutant that can shoot firework-like energy blasts from her hands.

The character had appeared as a minor character in X2: X-MEN UNITED and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, but I’m hoping she gets more screen time and a heavier role here than her previous appearances. Her character was created by Marvel alums Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri in Uncanny X-Men #244. In the current comics, she is a vampire and I’m thinking that Singer will go for the classic version rather than the current one.

Condor joins a cast that includes James McAvoy as Charles Xavier AKA Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr AKA Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme AKA Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Dr. Hank McCoy AKA Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE hits theaters on May 27th, 2016.
