I was privileged enough to attend the debut of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Con (ACBC) in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There were a lot of vendors, sellers, celebrities, comic book artists, tattoo artists, and The Stan Lee Collectibles Museum. I have never stood in one place with so much collective comic book history.
It is a collection of items that paint the picture of the history of Stan Lee and Marvel Comics. There was original artwork from both Stan and a number of other respected artists from the comic book company. The artists included J. Scott Campbell, Skottie Young, and Humberto Ramos.
Accompanying the art were a number of statues from top companies like Sideshow Collectibles. They had some collectibles that haven’t been available in a long time and signed by Stan The Man himself.
I think the coolest items in the museum are the armors from IRON MAN, IRON MAN 2, and IRON MAN 3. They had the War Machine 1.0, Iron Patriot, Iron Monger, Iron Man Mark III, Iron Man Mark 42, and the HAMMER Marine Drone. They looked amazing and it was like standing in Tony Stark’s Hall of Armor.
So if there is a comic convention that will have the Stan Lee Museum, make sure you don’t pass it up. It alone is worth the price of admission to the con. Check out the complete set of photos below:
holy crap, awesome.
