FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM — a spin-off of the HARRY POTTER franchise — finally arrives next year courtesy of Warner Bros., writer J.K. Rowling, and director David Yates (the final four HARRY POTTER films). The film follows Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) as he travels through the world of wizardry seventy years before the events of the first HARRY POTTER film.

The HARRY POTTER franchise was a massive success for Warner, earning over $2-billion at the domestic box office alone. Since then, they haven’t really experienced that kind of success with any other film (though they’re hoping for it with their upcoming BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE), so it was only a matter of time before they lured Rowling back to give the world more wizarding adventures.
Alongside Redmayne, the film also stars Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Ron Perlman, Samantha Morton, and Jon Voight, amongst many more newcomers. It arrives in theaters November 18, 2016.
