Quantum Mechanix is releasing 1/6 scale figures of Capt. Kirk & Spock from STAR TREK: TOS!

With so many cool things being released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of STAR TREK, Star Ace Toys has announced they are releasing a few 1/6th scale figures. They are of Kirk and Spock from The Original TV Series (TOS). Each figure will be available in a regular and an exclusive version with some very cool accessories included with each.

Captain James Kirk is in the likeness of William Shatner back when STAR TREK first hit the airwaves in 1966. He is in his commander gold shirt with the stripes on his sleeve to show his rank, the properly cut black pants, and high leather boots. As for the included accessories, he comes with his phaser with holster, data pad, communicator, and a base stand with the STAR TREK logo. Also included are 10 individual hands that can be used with the various accessories he comes with. The exclusive version comes with all of the accessories like the regular version but also includes the phaser rifle from the first episode. It has been recreated perfectly down to the intricacies and coloring.

Spock has been made in the likeness of Leonard Nimoy from TOS. Like Kirk, he is decked out in his uniform, but in science officer blue. He has 11 individual hands to be used with his accessories plus a few little extras: one hand can do the Vulcan Salute, one can do a Vulcan nerve pinch, and a pair of hands can be posed to do a mind meld on another figure. The standard figure includes a phaser with holster, tricorder, communicator, and a base stand with the STAR TREK logo. The exclusive version has all of the regular accessories but also has a Vulcan lute.

Overall, they are very cool figures and Quantum Mechanix has been putting out great figures. They aren’t up for pre-order anywhere yet, but expect these and some more new things from them soon.
