Actress Carrie Fisher passes away at 60

The world mourns the loss of true STAR WARS Royalty today with the passing of actress Carrie Fisher. She played Princess Leia in the Original Trilogy and General Leia in THE FORCE AWAKENS. She is also set to appear in the upcoming installment EPISODE VIII and had already completed filming her scenes.

At Christmas this year, there were reports that came in saying that she had suffered a massive heart attack on a plane. She had stopped breathing for about 10 minutes and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical care. Three days later, she passed away. Fisher was an accomplished actress, writer, and comedian who never really sugarcoated anything. She will be forever remembered in her roles both on and off screen and she will be sorely missed. Our thoughts go out to her family at this very tough time.

On a side note, 2016 is not going quietly and I, like many, cannot wait for it to end.
