[NYCC 2017] Collectibles, Figures, and Statues on the floor at New York Comic Con

The 12th New York Comic Con has come and gone and along with it tons of stuff went on throughout the four day convention. By all accounts this was the largest attended NYCC surpassing the 200,000 attendee mark. The show held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan is a celebration of all things pop culture. The east coasts biggest con continues to grow leaps and bounds with a completely packed Jacob K. Javits center to all their offsite venues which included the likes of the Hudson Mercantile, The Hammerstein Ballroom, and the Theater at Madison Square Garden. More than any other year the amount of offsite events also grew with plenty of parties (E-Coin, American Gods to name a few) and activations (Artemis, Westworld, Cloak and Dagger).

Because this year I spent so much time on the show floor I will be splitting my coverage of the show floor up a bit since there is so much to cover. Given there is four days of the convention I could spend weeks covering everything that was around the show. Unfortunately I can’t do that but this article will feature photos along with some descriptions of a few of the companies putting out the best collectibles, figures, and statues who were on hand at the convention including Mezco, Project TriForce, Star Ace Toys, Sideshow, Dark Horse.

Mezco
Mezco aother favorite of mine was at the show with an array of one:12 collective figures, living legends dolls, mez-its and other exclusives. This year their convention exclusives included a Marvel Red Skull and a Marvel Wolverine in his classic yellow and blue oufit, both of which were sellouts.

Project TriForce
Based in New York TriForce is a high-end creator of officially licensed 1:1 scale replicas from some of the most recognizable video games including Halo, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassin’s Creed and much much more. Project TriForce uses state-of-the-art processes, materials, techniques and equipment to create the most realistic products available on the market today. Showcased at NYCC was their Law Breakers Maverick Premier Scale Statue, Halo Plasma Rifle, and a mock up for their DOOM Chainsaw Full Scale replica to name a few.

Star Ace Toys Limited
Star Ace Toys Ltd was formed in 2013 with X-Plus. They bring high quality 1:6 collectible figures from a number of licenses including Harry Potter, DC, King Kong, Hunger Games, 300, and Pulp Fiction.

Pop Culture Shock (PCS) Collectibles
On display from PCS Collectibles were a number of quality collectibles in large 1:4 to 1:3 scale. Mostly shown off were their Strett Fighter figures including an amazing Sagat as well as their Green Power Ranger.

Sideshow
Sideshow has started to embrace NYCC over the last few years and this year while they have a smaller display than SDCC they still had a larger footprint at NYCC. With premium figures for Star Wars, Marvel, DC as well as their own IP Court of the Dead these guys make quality figures. I’m sure Michael Madison will have a much more in-depth look from them.

Dark Horse
Dark Horse one of the major publishers in the game held onto their normal location at comic con with a big booth presence, lots of panels, exclusives, and signings including what feels like their now annual Frank Miller signing as well as signings from Anthony Bourdain and David Mack!
