Warner Home Video has announced “Chuck: The Complete Fifth Season” for Blu-ray release on May 8th.The story is coming to an end in this last and final season. BBC in conjunction with Warner Home Video has announced “BBC High Definition Natural History Collection 1″ for Blu-ray release on March 27th. The set will include Planet Earth: Special Edition, Galapagos, Ganges, and Wild China. The contents appear to be the same as when each was released separately.

Paramount Home Entertainment announced “Hugo” for Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D release on February 28th. Hugo is Directed by Martin Scorsese and currently nominated for an Academy Award. The film will arrive in two combo packs, the first will include a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy while the second combo pack will include a Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy of the film. Warner Home Video has announced “IMAX: Born to Be Wild” for Blu-ray and Blu-ray3D release on April 17th. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, the film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them. Both releases will arrive in a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. There are no further details on the supplements, but we’ll keep you posted.

The Muppets Officially Announced

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced “The Muppets” for Blu-ray release on March 20th. The Muppets will arrive to store shelves in two different combo packs, one will include a Blu-ray/DVD and another will include a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy. For those considering the 3-disc combo pack it will aslo include a soundtrack digital download card. Also, The Muppets will debut a new feature (only available on Blu-ray)‘Disney Intermission.’ This new feature allows viewers to pause the movie and watch as the Muppets take over the screen and entertain until the movie resumes playing.Check below for a list of technical specifications and supplements for the film.

Both versions will be released the same day and both will be arrive with a DVD/UltraViolet, in the case of the 3D version a Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray will be included. Both versions will be presented with a 5.1 DTS-HD MA track. No further details have been provided.
