After opening their showcase tour by trouncing Argentina in Las Vegas on Friday night, the U.S. team posted another rout at the Staples Center, beating China 106-57.

During the United States’ 2-0 win over New Zealand in Belo Horizonte, fans inside the Estadio Mineirao booed Solo’s every touch - and heckled the star goalie with chants of ‘Zi-ka’ on her goal kicks.

Solo went public with her concerns about the Zika virus early in 2016.

Yeah, imo, they can heckle all they want, but from all info available about Zika, and the risks for women in particular, the crowd is just being childish. No one wants to risk their child having birth defects and she and everyone else is already taking a huge risk being there, giving the crippling outcomes to children. And there are plenty of people that are taking advantage of the real risks by scalping mosquito preventatives.

Various athletes boycotted the games because of Zika concerns and I don't blame them. This is your life you are risking for a piece of metal.

Croatia beats Spain on a last second block by Dario Saric on Pau Gasol to preserve a 2 point lead in Men's Basketball preliminary action.

It was sad to see the Murray brothers go out of the doubles but can't win them all as they say.

It was fantastic for Peaty to get the Gold in the swimming and Jazz's silver. I am hoping that there will be many more medals for team GB to come.

Looking forward to the diving and gymnastics tonight.

Yeah, that was a suprise that Sweden won...but what the hell Solo? Pretty pathetic "mind game" changing the gloves before the final penalty.
Common psychological play, actually. Tennis Players do it as do other athletes. All part of getting under opponent's skin and messing with their concentration and flow. Congrats to your country's team and good luck in the next phase @Hooch
