Would have had either the front and back art reversed, or made the interior the entire outer art and had the two other images on the inside. Basically I just don't like the front! Not enough for me to cancel though. I nice lenti would be a good addition!

RE: STEELBOOK FRONT COVER ARTWORK
Brief reveal from Ridley Scott regarding what inspired the Neomorph in his film:-

This chappie - the deep water very awesome Goblin Shark.. . . a shark that has been called "a living fossil" . . . one of the rarest of sharks and the only living representative of a particular shark family going back 150 million years . . . living at depths of up to 1,300 metres . . . and another shark I'd never ever heard of before today . . . lol:-

Appears to be a small spike on the end of the Neomorph's tail missing on the steelbook cover image . . . or maybe it appears when he gets older (like human teeth) . . .

"Hey graphic designer, did you see the absolutely stunning mural style artwork we've been using to promote the film with? Beautiful isn't it! So let's abandon that entirely and put a pile of s***e on the steelbook instead!"

"Gotcha!"

Exactly!!
That poster was amazing and would have made stunning SB cover. Let's hope premium version uses it.

Filmarena said they will have the same steelbook, so WWA ?

Matte finish . . . possibly Zero . . . and probably the best of the U.K. ALIEN steelbooks released to date.

2017 (same style, different colouring).
Black sticker obviously due to the presence of the 4K disc . . . black being the preferred colour choice for 4K packages.

No space for newer examples such as . . .
THE LEGO MOVIE . . . also 2016 . . . (different sticker)
THE WOLVERINE . . . 2017. . . (different sticker to all of the above)
ALIEN COVENANT . . . also 2017 . . . (same style as "Wolverine" but w/ black background instead of white.
A one-off?)

Why on earth do we need to see what appears to be a PowerPoint presentation on what "HMV exclusive" sticker has been used/might be used???

Of course you don't need to check out the HMV exclusive stickers past and present if you have no interest in them . . . that's why what to expect is noted with the "spoiler" and a "lol" attached with emphasis for people like you.

. . . and, finally, not forgetting the other 30 seconds of the Countdown clock . . .

Would prefer something interesting for the ALIEN COVENANT title treatment such as what they did with the recent PASSENGERS title.

No "fighting" going on here, just trading of opinions.

Now that I've watched the movie, i can understand why they chose to go with this artwork. Still, i think they could've done better.

If no alternative, I dont mind getting this...

Does the 'locations' list on the steelbook website for this mean where it'll be sold? Should I hold out for an Australian release or does it mean something else?
Yes. That particular listing is for HMV UK.

At the moment there is also a French edition available with the same artwork so Australia could very well also get it somewhere down the road.....
