I had this and Age Of Ultron in my cart with the 10% off code and free shipping. So they were $43.97 each Canadian. Nice price.

Then at the last second I remembered that this is called Avengers Assemble. I have always hated that title. I'm glad I remembered when I did.

I just couldn't pull the trigger.

As it was called in the UK to avoid confusion with the 1960s British TV series of the same name (starring the late Patrick Macnee) as well as its (rather poor) 1998 film adaptation.

Wouldn’t “Avengers Initiative” have been a much better title as that’s what Fury called the bringing together of the group?

Now i’m thinking about it too much....is that actually a worse title?...

I dunno - "The Avengers Initiative" might have worked. To be honest, though, I think just calling it "Marvel's Avengers" would have been sufficient to avoid any potential confusion.

Or, perhaps "The Avengers - No, NOT John Steed and Emma Peel (or Cathy Gale or Tara King), but that superhero lot comprising Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk et al", but maybe the posters weren't large enough to fit all that in (not to mention the length the DVD and blu-ray spines would have needed to have been!).

I do wonder how many youngsters these days get excited when the see "The Avengers" in TV listings for ITV4 or some other vintage TV channel expecting to see some Marvel-related action, only to discover that the male lead is wearing a bowler hat and, along with his kick-ass assistant (be it Cathy Gale, Emma Peel or Tara King), solving some pretty bizarre goings on!

Absolutely stunning. Only complaint is I wish Loki was on the back to match Ultron

Was against it at first but the finish and bossing made it a great addition to the collection. I genuinely don’t need anymore avengers 1 or 2 steelbooks after this though. Now to start the infinity war collection (to match these im hoping on blufans (confirmed), zavvi lenti, zavvi 4K and a Nova WEA)

Watched the 4K disc this weekend...... so great. Even though this wasn’t filmed in native 4K and is an upscale of sorts, my God this movie pops right outta the screen.
