Has it been confirmed this will have the remastered disc?

According to Steelbookbluray:-
"Video and Audio
Bad Boys has been around on Blu-ray for a while, and the disc included here is the same as the previous release.
There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of remastering here, so while the image isn’t pristine, it’s certainly good enough to capture plenty of fine detail.

There’s some film grain on display, which gives the image a nice, natural feel, while colours are nice and punchy. Black levels are good, with a decent amount of shadow detail on show. Look closely and you’ll spot some occasionally heavy-handed edge enhancement, but on the whole the transfer does a great job of reproducing Bay’s stylised, glossy mayhem.

On the audio front, again we get a good, if unremarkable soundtrack. The primary track is presented in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, which ticks all the boxes in terms of dialog clarity, directional effects and low-end grunt.
During the action scenes, gunshots and bullets fly in from all directions, while your sub will get a good workout throughout.

As befits a Michael Bay film, the soundtrack lacks a little subtlety, but then again this is Bad Boys, not Remains of The Day…

Extras
The disc only includes a small number of extras, but two in particular are very good.

First up is a commentary from Michael Bay, carried over from the old DVD release. Recorded around the time of the production of Bay’s Pearl Harbor, this is actually a very interesting listen. Bay talks about his struggles with the limited budget, which included not even having a finished film for the first test screening, and literally watching the clock every day due to an extremely strict filming schedule. One unexpected info nugget is that before Bay took over, a previous director had Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz lined up to star.

Next up a behind the scenes feature, lasting just over 20 mins, that takes look at the physical effects of the film. Fortunately, the film came out just before the proliferation of unconvincing CGI blood and explosions, so it’s nice to see real mayhem happening on-screen.

Three music videos follow, which may or may not be your thing, while the extras are rounded out by the teaser and full theatrical trailers.

Packaging
This new steelbook looks very good in the flesh.

The artwork’s nice, while the finish includes spot UV on the characters, title & badge. Debossing can be found on front bullet whole, and the rear badge design.

All in all, a very good presentation.

Summary
It’s a shame the film hasn’t been given a proper remastered and feature-packed special edition release, especially considering its recent 20th anniversary.

That said, the video and audio presentation are certainly good, and obviously a huge step up from DVD, while the two main extra features are both very informative.

The steelbook packaging itself is very nice, with a very high quality look and feel.

If the Disc has BD Live it's the older disc
If the disc has no BD Live function it's the remastered in 4K Disc

The remastered in 4K Disc also has 2 Bad Boys Film Trailers

The previous older disc don't have the Bad Boys Film teaser and full theatrical trailers

Going by the extras listed on Steelbook website review it's the remastered in 4K disc as that says includes 2 bad boys film trailers (Teaser and full theatrical trailers)

The older disc has 4 film trailers for Legion/The Bounty Hunter/The Karate Kid/Not the Messiah:He's a naughty Boy

The new remastered in 4K disc don't have these 4 above film trailers

@virkia thanks for posting that, although Steelbookbluray should have been more specific about the definition of "previous release", as the question here is not whether they remastered the movie again, but which of the two previous releases is included here.

Looks sweet . . . although I've seen better de-bossed bullet holes before, that's for sure:-

As to whether this steelbook contains the re-mastered disc I guess we'll have to wait for confirmation but as that message from Steelbookbluray was posted a day or so ago on the 24th March 2017 I'd be surprised if they deliberately put out misleading and inaccurate information . . .
On the other hand it would be silly to include the old disc when the new one is available (unless this steelbook is designed to help them offload old discs) and I'm hopeful that it'll be the new disc inside this new steelbook if only because the new disc art and colour matches the steelbook front background artwork (lol).

As we know in the U.K. the mastered in 4K BAD BOYS disc has not had a standalone release and is to be found only in last year's 2-film pack together with BBII (and that was a drama in itself for many purchasers with the older 2010 BB disc included in the set instead of the Mastered in 4K disc that was advertised on the box and led to all manner of bad feeling pushing Sony to agree to a *replacement programme. . . but judging from reviews of the set even now in March, 2017, over a year since the set was released, some buyers are still being sent out the old BB disc instead of the Mastered in 4K disc !).

*RE: BAD BOYS in the 20th Anniversary 2 film pack . . . Sony's response to enquiries:-
Dear ....................,
Thank you for your interest in Sony Pictures Home Entertainment products.
We are sorry that your disc of 'Bad Boys' is not correctly remastered and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Please contact Sony Pictures Home Entertainment UK directly at +44-20-7533-1200 to inquire about their disc replacement program.
Thank you for your continued patronage and for taking the time to contact us. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.
Regards,
Werner
SPHE Consumer Affairs

Anyway, the mastered in 4K disc has a . . .
- Mirror style finish
- 2016 date adjacent to the rim
- Code - UK-21435-BD-4K
- "Mastered in 4K" on the right side . . . in fact, like this:-

Yes, they have. You can see the shipping cost country-by-country breakdown here: https://www.zavvi.com/articles/international-delivery.list

£1.99 in addition to the 20% extra from each international purchase (as they charge the same prices as from their UK customers and UK prices include 20% VAT). Just anticipating the inevitable @lgans316 comment ;):thumbs:
That international shipping list was created by Zavvi ages ago over 1 year I was never charged the £1.99 unless it was under £10.00 even though the international delivery list listed £1.99 for standard shipping for Ireland with no free shipping option listed

Rep of Ireland customers also got free shipping over £10.00 but only in the last day or 2 has it increased for some reason
£19.99 or more it's still free shipping to Rep of Ireland when you place an order

But they do now, which is what @javiermendoza asked about ;)

I think it's a glitch it happened before last year

Looking recently at the prices of the new to Blu-ray in the U.K. BAD BOYS 2 steelbook (until it went OOP/OOS not long ago) I'm inclined to wait for a better price for this BB steelbook (even if it's confirmed to contain the 4K Mastered disc).
