IGN said:
After two highly acclaimed story arcs with Court of Owls and Death of the Family, Batman creative team Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are back for yet another sprawling epic: Batman: Zero Year.

The story is going to span 11 issues over the course of Batman, beginning in June's Batman #21. Presumably tying into the stuff we glimpsed way back in Batman #0, the story will be showing us untold details of Bruce Wayne's earliest days as the Dark Knight.

Snyder told the AP, “It’s not ‘let’s redo the origin.’ It’s time for a new story showing how Batman became who he is in the New 52. We tried to preserve as much of Batman’s history as we could and keep what we could of this history intact. It’s ‘The Zero Year,’ the one that no one has told the story of before. We see how Bruce became the Batman, built the cave, faced off with his first super villain … It’s time for a new story showing how Batman became who he is in The New 52. It builds up the mythology."

Comicvine.com said:
The next Batman 'event' is coming and, surprisingly, we don't know a whole lot about it. Batman: Zero Year is said to be an origin of sorts for Batman. While we do know about that one defining moment in Crime Alley and have seen a few random moments in Bruce Wayne's life before we became a crimefighter, we don't exactly know what happened right before he actually put on a costume. DC has decided to give us that story and put Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo on the job.

Batman: Zero Year

I'll be buying this through comiXology later today. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo have been killing it on Batman and this should be an interesting story arc.

BATMAN ETERNAL

The new Batman book to read is Eternal. The story looks like it is going to be a great series. Also the artwork is very sophisticated and detailed. Add this to the pull list.

The issues are BATMAN #44 with the cover art by Jock and HARLEY QUINN #20 with the cover art by Amanda Conner. They’ll be avail be at the Graphite Designs booth all weekend at booth #2006 & 2007.

According to Michael Uslan, there is going to be some big Batman related news at New York Comic Con this year. Uslan was a guest on The Fan Theory Podcast and mentioned that the news is coming. This year’s convention will have a slew of Batman panels and it isn’t clear which one will break the news. I’m thinking it is either that there is a sold plan for a new stand-alone Batman movie or some new creators are taking on the character in animated or comic book form. Check back for when we post this exciting news and comment below with your theories!

One of the coolest panels this past weekend at New York Comic Con was The Dark Knight 30th Anniversary Panel featuring an all star panel lineup including Jim Lee, Andy Kubert, Brian Azzarello, Klaus Janson, and ‘surprise’ guest Frank Miller.

After introducing the Panelists and talking a bit on how the Dark Knight has influenced both Batman and pop culture they went on to show some of the iconic images surrounding the Dark Knight comic.

The crowd was also given a sneak peak at some pages from the new DKIII as well as a nice collectors boxed edition.

e panel was great, and Frank Miller was awesome. Things to expect from the new comic was mentioned how DK was a deconstruction of the superhero, then the new comic takes you to unexpected conclusions. Interesting side note Frank Miller thinks the campy Adam West Batman is just as important to Batman lore

Finally out of the massive amount of attendees 40 lucky people (who won a raffle at the Dark Horse Booth) got to meet and get a signature from Frank Miller! Although I will say I was at the front taking some photos of Frank signing for some friends, before I got myself in line and there was this couple also just watching Miller sign for other fans and they just looked happy enough to be a few feet away and a Dark Horse employee asked if they were fans, to which they of course nodded yes, so he promptly gave them a signing ticket, which I thought was a really cool move by the staff!

After talking to this man for only a minute or two you could not meet a nicer more gentile person and he really seemed energized from the screaming crowd and the eager fans.
