This is hardly a blockbuster. The Studios have time and again said they want big budget films to cross $1bn for it be categorised as a blockbuster. I remember reading an article few years back where some exec from Warner or Fox mentioned that high budget films must see at least 4x returns for them to continue with the franchise.

Sadly for DCEU, it is not looking good. Justice League must succeed otherwise DCEU is screwed.

Crossing $1B is not easy! Not many movies have done it. BvS is considered a success as it grossed 873M worldwide from a massive budget of 250M (not including marketing costs of 165M) but not what Warner Brothers were hoping for.

T5 nearly didn't make enough for a sequel to be planned as part of the trilogy. But thanks to International Territory the movie made enough for potentially another movie in franchise. I just hope they wouldn't kill it off. We just hope James Cameron comes back to the helm and give him his 250M budget he will demand!
