The lamp is so intent on stealing the show its radiating light around itself on the paper proof

Looks alright...I prefer the HMV steelbook art. The image looks a lot better on the back of that steel with the lamp cropped out. I mean, seriously, the lamp is distracting, and putting the title over it just draws your eye to it even more! Makes it seem like a movie about a man and his lamp.

Also, I'm not big on the purple. I feel like blue and pink makes more sense.

I'm waiting to see the full package before forming an opinion on this. While the steel's artwork may not be my favorite the rest may sell me anyway. Plain's I Saw The Devil and Kimchi's Memento both come to mind as examples of that.

Every time there's an update on this thread, I always hope there's an art update.

It will, this will be the ultimate 'Drive' edition to end all editions.

I owned the HMV Steel, its a decent steel but not worth the going rate on Ebay. I always thought it was slightly overated anyway. It earned its 'Holy Grail' status due to the film being somewhat a cult classic.
