I'm not here to rain on anyone's parade. But personally (as a Steelbook collector first and foremost)-the HMV edition is a much better steelbook IMO.

I was never really a fan of slips over steelbooks as it defeats the purpose for me (you can always buy an amaray with a good slip and it looks the same)

Having said that, the pink one is nice. But I think it's masking the fact that the steelbook itself is quiet poor. Just my opinion.

I think I've seen more pics of the slip than the actual Steelbook!!;p

Check my post #2731 pleanty of pics of the Steelbook buddy.
You have also probably seen more pics of the slips than the actual steel because most of the collectors who bought this are keeping it sealed. And it's the extras like the slips / goodies / Numbering / plus the finish, that make this exclusive desirable. Plus the HMV Steel has no inside artwork and the feel of it next to this version is quite different.

Having them both in hand for me the quality of the Nova/ PA release raises this well above the HMV version....( just my opinion though ) :naughty::whistle::cigar:

Offering a different perspective to this....the HMV version has a lot of fans as there was never a release that could match it over the yrs,
For me in terms of a better steelbook, this version is far superior for a couple of reasons. The artwork and finish is colorful and the gloss factor is always welcome. Secondly, the presence of inside artwork as opposed to none makes a huge difference at least for me. Third and last, the addition of variants (though I'm not a fan of them all the time ) raises this edition above the HMV as it caters to a wider variety of collectors.
Having owned the HMV and German editions, I by a long way prefer this edition for the above reasons

imo, this beats HMV version hands-down, but if you were one of the lucky ones who got the HMV Drive for £10.99, I'd say you got an awesome bargain and it's probably not worth the upgrade is you're only going to 1/4 slip.

Full slip is where it's at!

I agree. The design of the HMV steel is much more pleasing. Pink on black is such a great contrast, and there's a nice blend of minimalism and detail. Also the back is so much more colorful than the back of the Nova steel (plus it crops out the lamp). The back also has unnecessary splashes of paint. Plus I'm not a fan of the purple theme. Which is my biggest complaint about the Nova front - the emphasis on the blown-out lamp. It just feels like a shot from the film was picked and the title was added - doesn't seem like the same amount of thought was put into it that was put into the slips.

I love the inside art of the Nova steel though, which is obviously far superior to the HMV's inside art! Plus the debossing on the scorpion is awesome. And the full gloss is nice.

I just received my package. Only one copy inside when there is supposed to be two! Says 2x quantity on the package. Have emailed so will await response. Anyone else had an experience like this with Nova?

Do take a photo of the weight printed on the shipping label just to protect yourselves from being accused of making false claims. Happened once with Kimchi long time back but thankfully the weight on the shipping label served as a solid proof that not all items were included in the package.
