DTS Neo:X on Expendables 2

The upcoming Expendables 2 to include DTS Neo:X soundtrack which is 11.1 channels , this is the first disc to do this (I think)
Consumer hardware is not readily available , at least at human prices

11.1?!? Damn that would sound Awesome! But what happened to 9.1 surround?? was their any movie released as 9.1? I can't get 11.1 set up or a capable receiver, too Expensive

At $3000 for just the reciever , yup it's out of my budget , plus you'll need all those extra speakers and a wife who would let you mount them all over the walls and celing

took me a year of asking just to upgrade to 7.1 and i still get moaned at

no chance of 11.1 lol!
would be intresting to see if we have any members with an 11.1 setup who can feedback to us the results

Ya I hear ya , I had a 7.1 setup that I loved , but we moved this year and I had to revert to 5.1 , in the new room
Even wireless speakers require AC power cords

Man, I would find a why to put those extra speakers back into the set up. I have 7.1 set up and LOVED it!!! To bad there's not that many movies that take full advantage of it, except for Lionsgate studio mostly all their releases have 7.1 audio

I have a 9.2 reciever. Soon to pull the trigger on some Kef R300's for the main use of Height channels.

The reciever has the ability to do 11.2 with an extra reciever(which I have) for the wide channels.
ATM, If I do feel the need for wides.. one of the options are to place motorised/motorized speakers in the ceiling Dolby Atmos stylee.

But my mind is telling me stick with the 9 channels.
