All the latest news heard about Arrowhead has been of our upcoming game Helldivers with Sony, but today we are thrilled to finally announce our other project together with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

We give you GAUNTLET, our completely modernized take on the much loved classic arcade game originally made by Atari Games.

Gauntlet will be completely remade but retaining many of its familiar features. The game will contain emergent local and online four-player gameplay and is a top down hack-n-slash adventure with the Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard and Elf exploring the classical fantasy dungeon of many wonders, we?ve come to love from old school tabletop gaming, movies and paintings. And of course battling an overwhelming horde of monsters.

We are so excited and proud to be able to revive and do our version of one of the games that inspired us to do Magicka. Gauntlet will be available on PC via Steam with support for SteamOS and the upcoming Steam Machines. We will be at GDC in San Francisco all week and you can expect more information about Gauntlet during this week.

yeah same here. i hope this iteration of the game will attract both the new players as much as the old skoolers

Absolutely. Last I recall, Midway had the rights to this before they went outta business or something. But I never liked their vision of the game. It was an improvement but too many odd changes made it weird. They tried to recapture the original's essence with Seven Sorrows.

I think this could bear a closer resemblance to the original. And if so, I'm there!!!
