Thanks for the opportunity, what a great give away!

Tarantino has always been my favourite director, his films are some of my favourite anyway, but it's his passion and enthusiasm that make me respect him so much. Whenever he talks about his films, you always get a sense of how much love goes into the process.

This interview alongside Bradd Pitt for Inglourious Basterds is really great:

james cameron has got to be my favorite director aliens, terminator 2 judgment day, titanic, avatar, true lies, the abyss and the new avatar films coming soon which you know are gonna smash box office records regardless. Total respect to the man.

Tarantino for all the reasons marcuszoller posted above.
And Martin Scorsese! His list of awesome films are getting ridiculously long imo. ;)

So it looks like this is a tie and will be decided by random.org. :p

Drumroll...........

Thanks for the awesome giveaway, MGD!!

Have always been fascinated with the crazy, but utterly intriguing visional direction from Tim Burton.

Most of his movies have been quite memorable for me, over the years.

This is a tough one for me and I can't name just one. My favorite directors are Scorsese and the Coen Brothers.

Scorsese for The Departed, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Shutter Island, Casino and Wolf of Wall Street. He's a master of his craft and many of his movies leave lasting impressions with the audience.

The Coen Brothers for Millers Crossing, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Raising Arizona, O Brother Where Art Thou and No Country for Old Men. I love their style of cinematography, dialogue and comedic flair.

My favourite director? Hmm, it's a mix between Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese and Kevin Smith. Three unique talents with completely exclusive techniques and methods for bringing out the best in actors and giving different spins on politics (a theme consistent with Nolan's Batman trilogy), delusion (Scorsese's Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy) and religion (Smith's Dogma).

Out of the three, it has to go to Christopher Nolan. Just look at this short clip, you can tell he's passionate about what he does. And it certainly shows in my opinion.

Thanks for the giveaway!

thanks for the great give-away MGD!

my favorite director (amongst others) is david lynch. his movies (and himself to a certain degree) are one of the biggest mysteries of contemporary cinema.

also worth mentioning: stanley kubrick, billy wilder, alfred hitchcock.

Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

My favourite directors are James Cameron and Christopher Nolan, 90% of their movies have become some of my favourites of all time and I think that both of them are yet to make a bad film. I also think they make some of the most intelligent and re watchable movies.

Fave director just because of the films I grew up loving would be Steven Spielberg the films I mentioned are Jurassic Park, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Saving private Ryan and ET

Up and coming director Josh Whedon for totally reinventing comic films and making them popular again with film of the year The Avengers also not afraid to go against the grain with the underrated Cabin in the Woods I expect many more hits from this guy now he's proved himself

Steven Spielberg for me. Because he's given me some of my favourite movies of all time. From when I was a kid right through adult life. He pioneered the summer 'Blockbuster' with Jaws all those years ago and never ceased to keep making quality movies since.

The guy's a legend!! :oohyeah:

James Cameron would be my close second!!

Thanks for the awesome giveaway
