Seattle — Amazon said Wednesday it is now delivering the first wave of HBO programming on Prime Instant Video in the United States. Prime members now have access to popular HBO shows, original films, comedy specials and miniseries. Last month, Amazon announced it had reached a content licensing agreement with HBO, making Prime Instant Video the exclusive online-only subscription home for select HBO programming.

Among programs available to Prime members for unlimited streaming today are:

• all seasons of classic HBO series, including “The Sopranos,” “The Wire,” “Deadwood,” “Rome” and “Six Feet Under,” and of recent favorites such as “Eastbound & Down,” “Enlightened” and “Flight of the Conchords”; • select seasons of current series such as “True Blood,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “Treme”;

• miniseries, including “Band of Brothers,” “The Pacific,” “John Adams,” “Parade's End” and “Angels in America”;

• original movies like “Mary and Martha,” “Temple Grandin” and “You Don't Know Jack”;

• comedy specials from Louis CK, Ellen DeGeneres, Lewis Black and Bill Maher;

• and documentaries, including “When the Levees Broke,” “Ghosts of Abu Ghraib” and the “Autopsy” and “Iceman” series. Amazon said it will continue to add more shows to Prime Instant Video in coming years. Amazon said the streaming service for HBO subscribers with mobile devices, HBO Go, will become available on Amazon Fire TV later this year.
