Introduction:

As many people know, its ALOT cheaper to just buy the bulb when having to replace your bulb/lamp for your DLP TV. The following will show you how easy it is to just take out the old bulb from the housing/tray and insert the new one and save typically around $40 when using an online etailer. For my TV, its $79.99 for the bulb or $120 with the housing tray. So its obvious as to what the better deal is and this is a VERY SIMPLE process.[/B]

Supplies:

You'll need a screw driver and rubber glove(s)

^-- Note the Black Wires and where they are located, there are two screws there, take them out. (Not the ones attached to the bulb) --^

^-- Now its time to take the bulb out of the front part of the housing tray. --^

^-- Unscrew one of the screws in the corner that has the clip and take the screw and clip out. You should do both, but I was able to get away with just doing one and sliding the bulb out so that there was less to screw back together. --^

^-- Now put the new bulb in and then screw the screw back on with the clip. --^

^-- Plug the plastic part that the wires go into back in its place and screw the screws back down so the black wires are now back in the original resting place like the first picture. After that screw the rest of the screws back in their locations thus connecting the tray back together.--^

^-- All Done, now go put it back in the TV and hopefully barring your TV having other problems ... ENJOY! --^
