Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.

Yep, great QC from PA! Anyone else would've probably just sent it out like that. What will happen to the "faulty" copies though? I stupidly decided to pass on this, so I'd happily settle for one of them.

Its just the pet sleeve which isnt right.

Guess they can have them destroyed or keep them as a souvenir....

Good point. I was imagining them all being sealed up and ready to be sent out for some reason, but I guess they spotted the fault before they got to that stage. Still got my fingers crossed that they'll somehow get more in stock eventually... I won't get my hopes up though.

I already have the Zavvi steelbook, so it's not a case of me just wanting the BD. The PA PET slip version looks stunning, so I'd rather have that edition. Thanks though dude!

I can't keep up with these statuses. I thought I missed the whole thing when read the times in the OP and the "Sold Out" button at PA website on each version. Love the slip. I think it's top notch, but I don't want to pay ridiculously overpriced version in eBay.

By the way, I try not to buy amarays anymore unless they're dirt cheap!

$9.99 is dirt cheap for a film as great as this one, and you'd be doing yourself a favor by avoiding the Chavvi version, to hold out for a used Plain Archive's copy, or a sealed one on ebay for the same price you'd pay shipped directly from PA.

I've seen amarays go now for less than 10 bucks. Some titles in Futureshop sells at 3.99 to 7.99. You are right though, might as well wait for a used (but in good condition).. However as far as a sealed one for the same price, that is almost like a unicorn deal.

Look at this. How much they care for their releases. Something is 1 mm too far from being perfect, and everything is delayed until this is sorted out. Zavvi sends out copies of laser numbered steelbooks that don't even have a numbering and don't bother showing any interest at all. Quality, folks. Quality.

Same here!!! Delayed for another couple of weeks, no biggie. Unless they started doing like the first couple releases of BluFans. Days to weeks to months
