Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.

PA has nice releases, but IMO a retailer of the year would have to have more than a handful of releases.

All joking aside this Pet Slip might be getting my vote for steelbook of the Year
Its not the Film of the year mind you as there are lots of way better films this year and previous years
But as a Steelbook and its attention to detail and packaging its looks fantastic by the photos
What it looks like in the flesh I'm looking forward to getting

well if you only count the exclusives, it's been 5 (which isn't bad at all for a first year), but there's also the stunning RUSH kimchi slip that was designed by PA, and some other great works by them, so already more "than a handful".

imo. no other retailer comes even close to what they've done this year, no matter if it's quality of their releases, care for artwork, customer service + care,...
and it's only their first year in business. i don't even have to think twice about this. PLAIN ARCHIVE = RETAILER OF THE YEAR.
