It says blu-ray tin. Of course the first release of Batman, T2, Gladiator and Saving private ryan are all beautiful and if these were the same, i'd be all over them and then some :)


Actually Gladiator is one of the best Steelcases! https://www.hidefninja.com/community/threads/10317/ but I think they are shipping the amaray if i remember correctly.

But these new ones should be called "tin slip covers" instead of "metal slip cases" :hilarious:

False alarm on Gladiator. Here's an email from JB Hi Fi

Right, I had a confirmation email from the staff at JB HIFI stating they've cancelled my orders - obviously I was very happy.

This morning I found emails from them stating they've just shipped them!!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

Useless.

Mine shipped too, WTF :(

I would have kept it if it didn't have printed (massive) ratings logos, but it looks naff.
 
So I see these have started showing up in eBay already.

As expected, people just can't wait to get rid of 'em.

At least sellers should be able to recover their money after being hooked into this fiasco. JB Hi-Fi now have some work to do before regaining people's confidence to pre-order with them.
 
seen this in real life, and to be honest, it looks really bad:( will just wait for it to go down in price then buy.

I got these in today and really like them. But looking at my invoice, they charged me 26.98, not 19.98. :rolleyes:
 
I got the dreaded package today as well. I have to say first of all that the quality is terrible. Lots of paint scratches! They actually look decent for what they are but NOT for what they were advertised as and not for the price. So now not only do I have two BDs that I dont want, I have two BDs that I dont want and won't be able to sell!

I'm guessing that it's unlikely I will be refunded for the damage? Can anyone comment about that process at JB?
 
Write them an email explaining that you ordered them on the premise of them being "metal slipcases". Show them an image of the previous slipcases and make mention of current releases such as Scarface, Apocalypse Now, Scarface and FF5. Point out that they should have been named something other than a "metal slipcase" as it insinuated that they would be the same as the other metal slipcases they have for sale. Don't tell them it was falsely advertised, that's a bit heavy. Just tell them that their description led you to believe their product was something else.
