Thanks I just find it interesting as to the reasons behind it. i Couldn't afford or have space for multiple copies of steelbooks myself.
I open all mine so I can watch them, which is why I collect.
Me too! I open EVERYTHING! Life is too short!
(And I've made this argument elsewhere before: These steelbooks could easily be worth absolutely nothing in ten years- enjoy them. They are to be enjoyed, and are not designed to be a long term financial investment!):D

That's very true.

I really want one of these!!
On average, how much with postage to UK for a single steelbook?
Great movie
@bigwednesday0
Karel's previous GB's shipping prices for singles have been this:
Europe:
1x
Steelbook
1st class recorded delivery - 160 CZK (approx. 6 Euro)
Rest of the world:
1x
Steelbook
1st class recorded delivery - 200 CZK (approx. 8 Euro)

Agree completely. It's like buying a beautiful painting or work of art and then hiding it away or just unveiling a tiny portion of it and never being able to enjoy the full beauty of it. And if it's for future value why bother even unpacking it.

Can someone just clarify a few salient points please?

Lenticular magnet - on both Angel and Devil editions?

The Dual Box edition - One lenticular or two or none?

Any slipcover for each title within the Dual box edition?

Do all editions come with the Booklet/artcards ?

Would, if possible, be good to get an answer before they sell out.
There are millions upon millions of people who keep saying that over the years....and keep coming back for more!
The fact is, Reeves is a very good judge of material and collaborators. And while not the greatest actor of his generation, certainly has a certain 'Joie de vivre' that people love and keeping coming back for.
The acid test for if you really want to know if you like an actor or actress and your not sure, is to count how many of their films you own. It is surprising. Turns out I love Tom Cruise movies...
And Keanu Reeves movies.
The Keanu shame thing is over. It's O.K.
You don't have to attach a qualifying statement after every time you say you like one of his movies.
Just admit Keanu Reeves makes a lot of awesome movies.
John Wick is an awesome Keanu Reeves movie - Because of him, not despite him.
(That logic would mean you could plug in Jonah Hill, and have a better movie. I don't think so.)
Keanu's great. And John Wick would not have been made, or great without him.

If people keep thinking Keanu can't act and is totally rubbish they should check out his performance as Donny in The Gift - seething vicious redneck with a seriously short fuse. Keanu isn't remotely like that as a person.

Agree! Ask the guy (and statistically, he MUST exist) who collected and kept unopened and mint copies of all the diamond 'vault editions' of the Disney Classics in Clamshell VHS- thinking they will be worth a lot of money down the road...they are worth NOTHING! Just enjoy them.

I don`t think all details are at hand atm, maybe @Actarus can shed some more light on this but I am not sure.

Yupp, Keanu is a bad boy indeed in The Gift! :)

It's such a shame (for me anyway) that FilmArena have put all their best efforts into putting a package together for a film that already has an Epic release (Novamedia), it has forced my hand into giving this one a miss. O well let's see what they come up with next.

I'm sure the overall package of this will look great
I have not ruled out getting this but I'm not going to join the group buy until I see all the extras that will be included
If the group buy is till open when we see all the contents details I will decide then

If I had not purchased the NovaMedia Full Slip Steelbook I would have put my name down in the group buy
I do double dip on different releases of films on occasions but this will only happen with this release when I see in advance the full package

If the group buy is closed before we see the full package and I miss out that's fine as I still have the beautiful NovaMedia Full Slip

So I await to see full details of the steelbooks to make a decision

Yeah I always wonder what will happen to the price of these steelbooks when the next generation of format is released (4k blu ray). I believe the prices of DVD steels dropped when they were superseded by blu ray and see the same happening come the next gen format.

If don't believe 4k is gonna be a juggernaut change. It is gonna be a niche within a niche.
4k buyers are gonna be the equivilent of the guys you know/knew who bought Master Recordings LPs, SACD and Superbit DVDs. They will be there- but they won't drive the market.

Why do you want 2 of each? So you can open 1?

As @C.C. 95 mentionned and has also mods have addressed there is many types of collectors, I multi dip into most of what I purchase and it is for my personal Pleasure. I like to collect things, beautiful things and yes sometimes will leave them sealed especially the Asian ones or ones that have sentimental values. If I open a steel it is because I have a second copy, or I might just decide to keep them sealed. I am an OCD collector and get a rush for having a slick nice collection with all the copies I love. On this board has it has been mentioned, we should not judge another collector for what they do with their money, the way they decide how they want to collect. I am not the only one believe me as this subject as been discussed many many times before. But I do not buy to resell, I am not a scalper and I just collect for the love of it...and I have improved though, I started slowly to open some steels so I can enjoy them and true it is fun. I am trying to loosen up a bit to enjoy more of the releases I love, but it is a Process...To be Honest I don't know how I came to collect this w ay as for me the value of my steel is the way I view/Love them... and it is very sweet to see them side by side all sealed up and who knows when I will open them or if I will just want to keep them sealed. For example, I might buy a Taiwan version for obvious reasons and open a different country to see the steel as it is WWA...so if I open a copy from a country I would not want to open my Taiwan which is the same steel I can appreciate and enjoy the 1/4 slip though the nice and tight shrink wrap...but this could be a very long discussion and it doesn't stop there...

Unfortunately, like some of the GBs done earlier, most of the time we have no information as to what each package will contain. They allow Karel an advance time to do his Group Buys, but they do come most of the time before any info on the release is available. At times during the end of the Gb film arena will publish their beautyshot with all the content of the editions. As we have experienced before many many times, most of all film arena exclusive package numbered editions are blind buy but so far have never disappointed, it usually is the opposite, when we see the beautyshot it is where people go crazy and want them. This is just the way they have been working for the film arena collection. It's a Privilege that they give Karel to give him the opportunity to do a GB for each of their exclusives as if they would wait for the beautyshot to be available GB would not be possible as they usually are very close to the Pre-release when all is ready. So if you wait for the beautyshot to know everything that it will include, yes possibly you might miss out, or have to buy directly from film arena when they go live.

I agree. And yes, they could be worth nothing as the years go by, but they will probably be meaningful to me as long as I live :)

I'll probably go for the Angel edition, looks gorgeous and I bet so will the slip.

@Actarus you want to have a word with karel and get him to put the links to the gb's in the op may be helpful otherwise people may think reading later on that it is 'coming soon'
