MacGyver was it not edited on video tape. Judging by the "prints" going around over the years they were pretty dire video masters. If it was every shot on film to begin wtih

Absolutely. That is the sad part of it. I don't actually know if they can make a Blu Ray edition of it. The DVD editions are terrible in quality. Ironic and it was quite a big show in it's day.

Lets be honest they make Barney Miller look like Ben Hur....

Perhaps but Knight Rider for instance was edited on film. MacGyver was not. Shoddy move by the production company will result in them having to go through frame by frame to re-edit the entire show to painstakingly remaster it to HD.

Was very surprised not to hear "Murder She Wrote', or "Columbo" or "The Rockford Files" not on that list. I would have thought they would have been bigger salers than most of the above and assuming Fabulous do 4 episodes per disc, Magnum will have a whopping 40 discs compared to Knight Riders 22.
