Kogan is an Australian tablet maker, who unveiled a 10 inch tablet with Android 4.0 and a pretty appealing price of $180. The product is called Agora and it supports a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, plus it comes with some pretty decent specs. You can see it pictured below:

Other features include a 2 megapixel camera at the back and the brain of this newcomer is a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. Kogan Agora packs 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and apparently there will also be a 16GB version of this slate. There’s a full USB 2.0 and HDMI port on board, welcome additions to the features of this budget tablet. The Agora starts shipping on June 25th only in Australia and it will be priced at about $176, if you want a more precise number.

Every once in a while I’m glad to see that Australian, African and European companies make their own tablets, considering we’re basically flooded daily with slates made in Asia. However, these minor companies can’t really compete with cheap Chinese or Indian slates, that are extremely affordable…
