Did they say it will Region free? This film was distributed by multiple studios and all of them except the ULTRA HD were Region locked.

The problem is that they said nothing about the region.

It's coming from a country that is predominantly region A so you should always assume but will be region A. Being region free would just be a bonus

I’m pretty sure it was already mentioned that it’s region A a while back before pre order

I decided to get this knowing that but I can’t keep buying region A from manta. They need to stop with this or if they can’t get a film with no region locking then they need to scrap that film and start on another.

Although most of them have released a region locked package I don’t think any premium exclusive from any premium retailer should be region locked imo

Yep, the region was definitely already confirmed, because I remember saying it wouldn't bother me since I already own the UK disc anyway. So be it if any release is region locked... it's obviously out of their hands. The only time it annoys me is when they don't announce it beforehand and we're left to find out for ourselves once we've received our item.

U.K. is the most vibrant...not even close.
It's surprising actually unless the lighting was fixed to enhance the U.K. release.

It’s a shame the studio/distributor required them to slap the credits on the back of every slip and steelbook. Manta managed to blend it in pretty well on the slips, but it does stick out a bit on the steel itself.

Lionsgate titles really get scattered to the wind when it comes to international distribution. I assume that’s why so many of these La La Land releases have been region locked and feature such varying credit placement.

U.K. is the most vibrant...not even close.
It's surprising actually unless the lighting was fixed to enhance the U.K. release.

The UK indeed is Superb, the details on it are so very well executed(the way the city just lights up when playing with the reflection of the light on the steel is awesome),
but I haven't put them side by side but the FNC Add Culture(Korea) one is really not far Behind if not as great. I have to do the comparison but both are exquisite,
including the BB as well(still a very lovely steel).

Now we Must wait for Manta to see, but I am Scared

UK is definitely the best, very beautiful and vibrant on each side. US is also very nice, unique with its white color. Japan is too dark, almost depresive lol, but most unbalanced one is Korea, too busy bottom and empty on top, and backside only with the lamp is boring. Manta front is great, but credits on back ruin it big time. UK ftw!

The Korean in hands is Absolutely Superb, hard to tell which one is better UK or Korean as they both bring something different. The Gloss on Both are Spot On.

That's one of the good things about certain studios - most recently and most notably WB and Metropolitan . . . where the text - mainly the cast names etc. - is inside the steelbook and sometimes even tucked away under the disc/s on the right / left hand side . . . sometimes absent completely and confined solely to the J-card/flyer/O-ring.
