I may have jumped the gun on Ils. I was only halfway thru it when I made the above statements. I'd say it was just as good as The Strangers.

Watching some horror today since the ps clocking issue. Halloween 2 wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but I was a little upset about what they did with dr loomis character. Have to ga back and watch the original H2 to see if they did the same. I just can't remember.

Started watching a film called CHAW but it turns out that's a canibal movie and I ain't into that. Shut it off after first 10 minutes.

Watching Ils (them) right now. I think it's French but there are alot of phrasings that just don't sound like it to me. Anyway it's the same premis as The Strangers and it's pretty good but I for once I think Hollywood did it better.

I was very disappointed in Halloween 2.. it just didn't have it like the first one rob did.

The second Halloween by Rob Zombie is nothing like the old school Halloween 2 by John Carpenter.. Rob goes way off the path after the initial encounter at the hospital and starts to take on an almost Friday the 13th tone

a tale of two sisters is on blu in uk glen-bob,region free could not tell you.still need to buy it.it's on hmv at about £8.99

martys (french) great on blu,great horror some of it is hard to watch though.
the texas chainsaw massacre (original) not bad transfer for a film that old.
the thing,also good transfer.
la horde (french) see this at frightfest last year,excellent zombie flick.only getting released on dvd in ukif anyone knows of a blu with english subs let me know.

I don't know what to think about martyrs. I felt all dirty after I watched it and thot I'd never need to see it again but lately I've felt the need to see it again. Lol. It was a very disturbing movie. Inside is another great French flick I'd consider purchasing. The French have been puttin out some great stuff since High Tension was released. The classic universal monster movies would be a must have for me if they did a new restoration or transfer for them. There are sooooooo many that I want it's hard to just pick a few.

I did see that but now that I rethink about Maniac it is a horror movie, much like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, might lose some of its nastiness once it is transferred to blu. In remember the first time I watched TCM on DVD I thot that I enjoyed it more on an old rental VHS with the tracking all messes up and the transfer being full of artifacts. It just makes those 2 films more gritty, the way they should be IMO.

yea great stuff coming from france,inside i love.that is released on blu somehere in europe,but no english subs.same as the french tfi of la horde no subs.

not at all. It's got zombies, vampires, and a lot of other evil things in it. It was a TV movie, as far as i've learned. It had Levar Burton in it... lol. But it was really good...
