Spectre - Disclaimer: I'm not much of a 007 fan! Thought this was pretty bland. The trailers did nothing for me but on the strength of Skyfall (the one I can really get behind I guess) I decided to trust in Mendes and co to deliver the one-two punch. However this felt like 23 familiar punches, like Skyfall if it were under heavy inspection to provide proof that it's a full blooded Bond film with every trope on the list ticked off. Loved the opening long take though as well as Waltz although I wish the whole latter half had went much deeper into his relationship with James. Almost felt like they were setting up Madeliene for tutelage under James as well but instead she just gets to 'love' him instead. Oh well I'll always have Skyfall.

Spectre & The Hunger Games: The Mockingjay - Part 2

Wasn't a fan at all of Spectre (although the opening shot was incredible). Mockingjay part 2 was good. Oddly paced and slow in places but as usual, a great performance from Jennifer Lawrence.

Up until this Christmas, the last time I went to the cinema was back in 2007 when I saw The Bourne Ultimatum with family... so 8 years ago! Saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens on boxing day and it's a cinema experience I'll never forget... I wanted to go straight back in and do it all again.
