Yes I always choose the standard shipping with Amazon.ca as they normally ship real quick
Thanks for the quick reply. I would be extremely interested in the customs charge situation. I have all the Star Wars steelbooks on order from them with standard shipping and am worried what the customs charge is going to be!!

Same here, kinda of a trial run:D with this, I've got them pre-ordered Canada and US. At least with the US you can pay the charges upfront with the expedited shipping but Canada don't seem to offer that.

Ive ordered from Canada also, and to Australia, Ive been very surprised at how fast regular shipping is!!! I think when I bought this set last year, it took 10 days, including weekends, to get here! Also the shipping may be a bit expensive compared to Amazon.com, but a lot of things still work out cheaper for Aussies with the exchange rate as Canadian dollars are just about the same.

just spoke with 'santosh' at Amazon.ca live customer chat and he informed me that customs fees are the buyers responsibility but as a one off apology for the confusion processed me a full refund for the £25.91

So what did u say to them? Got any hints tips or advice? Maybe a copy of the conversation so anyone could copy and paste what u said?

Told them that how could the customs fees and UPS crappy handling fees be more than 50% of the total cost of the item? I asked them before if 'all the shipping and handling' was paid for and they said yes, so then why is UPS asking for more money? Told them I was happy to pay the customs, but was unhappy with the extra handling fees and they should sort out the import taxes prior like Amazon.com.
