During a panel, Mondo said there was a ton of steelbooks coming next year There was a delay, because at the start, they had a lot already planned, and then well, none ^^ But there will be plenty of them next year

And HBO actually reached out to Mondo for the steelbooks ! But it didn't happen

Mondo is trying to get the Ghibli license again for posters, and we learned that there will be Ghibli SteelBooks soon.

No they are cancelled ! The two swhorunners didn't want drawings of their characters on a steelbook. So just like that, even though everyone at HBO was on board, they shut the project down ! So we'll never see the light of these ones. They got replaced with the GoT steelbooks that are beeing currently released... Even though it was HBO that got in touch with Mondo in the first place to ask them for some steelbooks !!

:-( damn, that Ken Taylor or Martin Ansin art on a steelbook would have been AMAZING!!

If mondo do continue next year then I hope they are not randomly spread about between US/ Canada/ UK/ Germany and Asia


U.K. Only had 2, Germany 1 and Asia 1 but I hope if they do continue they are avaliable from multiple retailers.

Would also like to see a true detective season 2 steel with mondo art and eventually a age of ultron mondo (not from blu fans though - far too much and also too many WEA for that film atm so I can wait a good year before that happens)
