Got my stand today and I have to say:

SHOCKING!

I'm so disappointed with it, so flimsy, thin and cheap feeling.
The Thor: The Dark World plate is pretty nice, but I don't know how they can justify $50 delivered.
An obvious reason they don't have pictures of this for sale on their website.
I've sent off an email, awaiting a reply.
I'm sure I could have gotten a plastic insert like this from a box of chocolates.

Sent them an email. If they don't comply with my demand: A BRAND NEW ONE AS ADVERTISED, I'll fight and claim it on Paypal.

I fully agree with you. I assumed it would come as a full stand with the plate attached. I knew it would be plastic, but it has no stability, thought it would keep up with the standard of the Hammer.

If you don't mind me asking, what else did you say in the email, it needs to be said to them!

Keeping it simple at first. Let them the possibility to answer:

Hi,
Got it today.
But I’m not satisfied AT ALL!!! This is cheap and NOT as advertised.

On the picture, the Thor plate is ON the display… why mine was separated???

This is NOT acceptable!
Marc

If they don't refund OR exchange, I'll escalate!
I was ready for a cheap stand... no prob... but the plate NOT attached... NO!!!

I agree totally with the plate being unattached. Like I say, I expected a cheap(ish) stand, but I feel this could break easily if moved in the wrong way.

I got mine too and echo all comments here. No way is this flimsy thing worth $50. Very disappointing. The nameplate fell out of the box, onto my floor, as I was opening it, and that was my first sign. This thing looks and feels like it must have cost about $.75 to make, plus another couple bucks for the nameplate, which on its own, is not bad. Overall, I think a fair price, shipped, would be no more than half the $50 price, and maybe more like $20.

Marc, let us know if you get satisfaction. Will they cover return shipping?

I'll keep you posted for sure. No news yet from KG Hobby, but claim done via Paypal.
Thanks. I was thinking about this stand last night. You know those cheap, disposable, ultra-thin paint tray liners you can buy at Home Depot? This stand reminds me of it, in terms of the thickness and quality of the plastic. I had fairly low expectations, but this thing, sadly, didn't meet them.

So,
my case with Ebay was NOT as I expected. After their review of my case, they said I was elligible for returning the item and get a full refund (item&shipping). Enought to say that I was freaking pissed off!

BUT, I checked the postage cost with Canada Post from my place to HK in their own packaging and seems like it would cost (for real) 53$ with tracking.
So, I emailed KG Hobby directed and explained them that I could follow what Paypal offered me and charged them back 53$ OR I would be "satisfy" with a 25$ refund.
Received my 25$ refund this morning. :)

I would have prefered to have a new stand WITH the plaque on, but now at least when I look at it, I feel a little bit better knowing that I had it for 50% ;)

Tx
