One thing that iOS6 did was it removed the YouTube app. Apple and there attempt to shy away from anything Google and become solely independent on itself. It's cool but if you've been used to using it for a while you might not be prepared to be without it as I was. I set out to find a suitable replacement and wound up spending $16 in the process. Here's some screen captures of the ones that I've been playing around with.
This is ShowYou and it looks to be my favorite as of now. Free at the iStore.
This is Squrt and follows in at a very close second and is also free at the iStore.
This is NowBox and allows you to search for channels on YouTube rather than individual videos. It's pretty good but will take some getting use to in order to use it more. It's also free in the iStore.
This is Video Hunters and it's OK, it keeps wanting to open in portrait orientation so I have to turn to portrait and then back to landscape to enjoy it in landscape orientation. It's pretty basic but it does it's job well. It's .99$ in the iStore.
Lastly is Tube Video Player and looks like it is a full fledged YouTube app and rich with features. The only thing is that it's too crowded in my opinion, it has too much stuff. Also this costs $9.99 in the iStore and then in order to rid it of ads you pay an In-App fee of $4.99 for the full version which I thought I was doing by paying for it in the iStore. Kind of a let down if you know what I mean.
