This is stupid:
The Guardian interview with John Carpenter PART 1 is a supplement on VAMPIRES.
The Guardian interview with John Carpenter PART 2 is a supplement on GHOSTS OF MARS.
????
VAMPIRES is a great film (will buy), GOM is crap(will not buy). So I will only get 1/2 of an interview?!!
Stupid.

Most people will probably prefer Vampires over GOM so it's no doubt a marketing move to make them related.
Since Indicator is a new label we should forgive them for trying to shift units at the beginning

Got my Vampires and Ghosts of Mars Bds the other day. Rumour has it that these guys will also be releasing Starman.
Starman is confirmed by Indicator. That's why I already included it in the list above.
Awesome! I asked them for a Starman release through the giveaway HDN held back in October... not saying I had anything to do with their decision to actually release it, but I'm going to pretend that I was anyway. :p

Not stupid at all mate, if you want both interviews you gotta buy both. In a business sense it makes perfect sense ;)

GOM gets a lot of hate, it's certainly not Carpenters best but I think it's good fun

Would you feel the same way if the second part of the interview required you to buy THE WARD, or MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN?!
It's not a good tactic. I would have purchased VAMPIRES if it had the whole interview.
But, I have the Twilight Time edition, so they won't get my money. Had they had the whole interview, I would have purchased.
Now I'll find the interview elsewhere and author my own supplement BR and slap it in the TT edition.
(IT just isn't worth it for just an interview)

I'd buy those regardless of the interview ;)

I can name worse examples

One being Star Trek Into Darkness where the supplements were split over 4 or 5 different retailers as exlcusives all with slipcovers and what not

at least you are buying n two seperate films for the interview and not 4 copies of the same film for a complete package

Sooo, catching up with wonderful Indicator.

Pre-orders are up for new titles above this post. I've updated the OP and details of some previous announcements.
For example, Lady from Shanghai & Experiment in Terror received their final artwork:

I'm too lazy right now to post the reviews from their latest releases, but to sum it up, all knocked the ball very far out of the park

I really need to catch up with the Indicator line and purchase them all... so far the ones I have (first 5 releases) were all blind buys for me and I haven't been disappointed with a single one of them! Some really incredible films that I probably wouldn't have even considered checking out if it weren't for Powerhouse giving them such fantastic releases.

By the way... how many of you turn the sleeves around to display the clean side (without rating logos) of the artwork? It's one of the first things I do when I buy them, but I see so many other people posting photos on social media of their copies with the rating logos still showing... it kinda freaks me out a little. :p

I also only have the first 5 releases. But since I bought now the Harryhausen movies from Koch Media with Slipcover I decided to not collect all of their releases.
That's the misfortune of an OCD collector with series that are numbered :wtf: So I'll pass on "Happy Birthday to me" and the two Carpenters and will get "Bunny Lake is Missing", "The Last Detail", "The New Centurions" and "The Anderson Tapes" next. And of course I'll get the three latest announcements. Super excited for "The Lady from Shanghai" and "The Big Heat" :woot:

Right now, I didn't turned the sleeves around :bag: The rating logo bugs me too but on the other hand I really like that rainbow indicator logo thing at the top of the artwork
And, I like the darker 10 Rillington Place artwork more than the red one on the flipside. So If I don't turn this around I can't turn the others around  It's a mess I know.

I know exactly what you mean mate... there's been times when I've passed on certain releases just to get a different version from a numbered series I've been collecting for a while. And I also totally understand what you mean about reversing the sleeves... I like the multicoloured banner that runs along the top too, but I dislike rating logos more lol. I had the same dilemma with Rillington Place as well - I prefer the darker image, but like you said... that'd mean having to keep all the others the same way around too. OCD certainly is a crazy thing! :wacky:

We're lost :wacky:

Another let down is that they increased the price. All recent releases where not available for 12.99 in pre-order with Amazon (except The Last Detail) and it seems like that HMV don't do the 2 for 25 on them anymore.
The releases are definitely worth the 15.99, and it's still lower than Criterion but when you do 3-4 releases per month and you're fan every penny that you could safe counts :dunno:

Hmm yeah, I'd noticed that and it's part of why I'm yet to pick up the new ones. I agree the higher price still isn't too bad, especially when you consider all the effort they put in to their releases, but like you said... trying to keep on top of these plus releases from other labels can be very expensive! I guess we should consider ourselves lucky for having so much choice nowadays though... it just makes it difficult to fully support them all lol.

The movie market in the UK was SO strong in 2016. So much amazing releases from all the great labels like Indicator, Criterion UK, MoC, Arrow, BFI and more. Probably the best year ever!
It's amazing but also no way to keep up with all the releases. My "Saved for later" list on Amazon UK is 89 items strong :wacky:
