PSN password reset issues

a friend of mine is having a problem re-setting his password. the PSN tells him that instructions have been sent to his email address but when he checks he gets nothing from them. Thoughts or advise on where I can send him to get this resolved quickly.

yesterday i changed my password on psn again cause i forgot what i initially set it to after the outage. I was worried when the email didnt show up initially but after 35 minutes almost to the second the email showed up with a link to click and type in a new password. how long has your friend waited?

he did it around 8pm last night. still waiting.

I changed mine tuesday. Got tyre email right away. Did he check his spam box? I know Sony said not to submit the request multiple times...

give sony a call then? i dont know, it took awhile but not that long, i know they said dont attempt to change it multiple times that wont help at all

You can reset it on the playstation itself, has he done that? No emails necessary that way

i think it's up to Sony how you have to reset it. Some of my accounts I could reset on the PSN itself but other ones they sent me and email and I had to do it that way.
