The original back image visually complemented the front waaaay better than this new one. The new back doesn't exactly clash with the front, but it makes for a much weaker overall design.

Yes, new back would be perfect as inside artwork.
Old back much better . . with certain adjustments to the image - namely, zoomed out slightly to better match size of front image . . . front red banner continuing across the spine (preserving the period two-tone look . . . bringing to mind the spats and two-tone shoes of the period lol) at the same height behind Uma etc.

Removal of "10¢" price tag is because of all the pics of 10¢ cheap-as-chips period pulp fiction magazines I posted previously (lol) and cheapened the exclusive product (lol).
Just joking.
More likely intention is because they wish to put their own stamp on their own WEA steelbook and distance it from the Play.com exclusive as well as from all the many, many other releases which all have the classic "10¢" price tag logo - reason being that was exactly how the mass of Pulp Fiction magazines with similar splashy and colourful artwork looked like back in the day.
Not all Pulp Fiction mags priced like that with 10¢ being the cheapest.

Other obvious differences being the re-positioning of the cast enabling the title to be higher and better positioned inside the red banner header on the front and preventing Uma's stilettos partly covering said title - more like the Canadian digibook, for example.

Yea, although my first impression was positive, after comparing those two version I must say I would rather vote for the first draft. It goes better with the front and looks more solid as a whole. This new back artwork would be better elsewhere, inside the steelbook for example.

And the removal of 10c is no-no as well. Want it back!

I can understand the change on the front, it actually looks slightly better. But the change of the back art was a mistake, I mean, it's not like it's going to be sold at walmart or something so a strong image for a strong movie was a much better choice originally.

Just a little unofficial update on PF and RD I have been told this morning in email from Nova CS:

"And yes. Our next Exclusive line up is <PULP FICTION> and <RESERVOIR DOGS>.

But we are making some designs that all the customers love. And there is many process that we need to do.

So it'll take some time to make it and press.

When it is ready to be announced, we'll let you know about it through in many ways. "

So not exactly what I expected (I want it NOW ) my guess it´s gonna be at least three or four weeks more, but appreciate the info

Im pretty much replenished now and absolutely ready for upcoming Nova´s ( Blufans Guardians 1/4 slip already ordered, Nova Guardians was ages ago, I don´t even remember when I ordered some HDzeta last time , and Im not sure about upcoming Manta - Fantastic beast is easy pass and WW will see what they will come up with)....so...Nova, here you go, give me those classics!! ....
