Lone Wolf and Cub: White Heaven in Hell (1974)

One of the most consistently enjoyable comic book movie franchises I've ever watched. Move over Marvel!

Basically a celebration of black artists of the time with some jaw dropping sequences. The sequence with Cab Calloway and The Nicholas Brothers doing Jumpin Jive has got to be one of the most astonishing dance sequences ever filmed. Your jaw will drop.........

Holy cow!!! Hadn't planned on ever watching this, but caught it this morning on IFC. What the heck can you say about this movie other than it is, indeed, kick ass!!!!! Love the story, and adore Hit Girl. She totally rocks, man.

Wow. No middle ground on this one.
People are either loving it or hating it.
Yeah, it seems so! Don't get me wrong, it had some cool moments, but overall it was nothing special and we've pretty much seen it all before and done much better. I guess it's pretty fun if you're easily entertained though.

A good film, but ultimately overrated. I'd place it on the lower end of Edgar Wright's films (Shaun > Scott > Hot Fuzz > Baby Driver > World's End). The first act is so much fun, but the second act drags and should've been cut down immensely. The third act fortunately picks things back up before giving an ending that was slightly disappointing. Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey both shine while Ansel Elgort and Lily James display great chemistry. It's worth the watch, but it's not the gem critics are making it out to be (not to me, anyway).
