Receiver help please!

hey kids,

I have a Sony STR-DG720 that I might replace with a Yahmaha RX-V473. Is this a good move? The biggest thing I'm worried about is losing the 7.1. Any help would be great, thanks

Personally, with a room that size, I would be worried about losing the 7.1 as well! My room is about the same size and the 7.1 with ceiling sides are very filling for the surround. If you had a smaller room, say a 8' x 12' I would be less concerned.
