"During post-production, the distributor sought and was given advice on how to secure the desired classification. Following this advice, certain changes were made prior to submission"

This isn't censoring. This is a distributor making cuts to make more money.
So it's a cut uncensored version? Makes perfect sense. The BBFC doesn't have to have imposed cuts for it to be censored, and I'm well aware of the reasons companies choose to self censor. The company chose to suppress contentious material in order to stay within the guidelines of a lower age rating, this is still censorship.

The only point I've been trying to make is that when an uncensored certificate is available I would prefer for companies to release the higher rated version on home media. I don't expect most people on here even care if there's a few seconds missing, I was only pointing it out in case there is anyone else like me who, with a few exceptions, prefers to buy the most complete version of movies.

@zavvi will there be two version of this steelbook or will the regular bluray version be switched to this new black artwork as well?

Black steelbook for 4K kind of makes sense I suppose when you consider 4K Amaray cases are usually if not universally black.

Rather fond of the "SPY" print on the front of the regular steelbook . . . and the striking colour of course . . . surprised to see it missing on the no longer seductive, very deceptive and deadly dull 4K steelbook.

As for the back art: looks like they've taken a page out of the "Eureka Steelbook Art" book.

Bummer if both steelbooks are black.

Black + FOX = streaky poor matte, washed out art and lightweight cheap feel. Hope we see a WEA version somewhere else

Really hate the writing right across her face!

The red steelbook looked graphically excellent. I loved the SPY type too.

This black one loses all of the sophistication.

I wasn't sure I would like this film but might have picked it up for the red Steel.

Also, any reason why the title isn't centered on the spine? Is this for sure the final version?

Yes, I think I prefer the red one too and hopefully if both are released someone will post side-by-side pics for those sitting on the fence . . .

Just based on the images provided the black steelbook does have a couple of things in its favour that the red one doesn't:-
1) Bigger, sharper and better pic of sexy Jenny thanks to the better contrast of the B&W image.
2) Feather on her décolletage . . . looking almost like part of her hair (split ends, lol) . . . a nice touch missing on the red steelbook . . . although the red one has the "SPY" text in the same position which I also like.
