German SteelBook release has English subtitles for the film.

When you load disc you get option to select german or english menu.

UHD disc Film has both German and English subtitles option.

The separate Blu-ray bonus extras disc in German release.
Some extras when you turn on subtitles is German only and some will show both German and English subs same time

Hola,

Can anyone advise me what the transfer is like in this steelbook edition.

I have the Arrow Special Edition and don't really like double dipping but this being my favourite movie I've always wanted a good steelbook of this abd could move the Arrow on as long as this isn't a downgrade from that...

Anyone got a perspective on comparison?

I've seen the 4K Kino Lorber transfer from the US in 2023 and can safely say that it was fantastic.

Check out this review comparison on YouTube.

Ronin Blu Ray to 4K comparison Kino Lorber

I can't imagine that this UK transfer isn't leagues better than Arrows 1080p release, although I heard that was great (never seen it)

I'm not sure who's done the transfer on this release - was it Capelight? The guys here should know.

You should double dip and keep hold of the Arrow release as well, especially as it's you favourite film. More special features.

If you're a huge fan I'd go for it as its a nice steelbook.

The Arrow Blu-Ray was from a 4K scan also and looks great.

The Kino Lorber 4K isn't much of an upgrade regards detail but has a different colour grade and HDR. It has a finer layer of grain also.
The Capelight 4K is supposedly a slight upgrade over the Kino.

Here's a link to compare the Kino and Arrow :
