That Jaws image on Film Posters and DVD and Blu-ray is not a image of a film scene you don't see that scene image in the film
When she is swimming you don't even see the great white shark its left to your imagination that the shark is under her
You know what he means.

At least the Jaws cover is related to the movie. The shark swims up from the deep and eats people!!!!

Now if the cover was Roy Schneider holding a samurai sword with an army helicopter in the background (ie: nothing to do with the movie) then that's just absurd. Film poster or not.

Just like this junk.

The Saw Steelbook is simply using hand from the Original Theatrical release poster
This Theatrical release poster was used to promote the film
If you don't like it that's fine but it is the original image used to promote the film

So it not correct to say it the wrong image but its rather an image you don't like

These 2 film posters are the ones used to originally promote the film

The official Original Theatrical release poster

Also a similar one used was this

Artwork for DVD/Blu-ray and Steelbooks most of the time come from the official Film Artwork and lot of the times its one of the official film posters with part of the image used or all of the image used

Paul you don't need to keep posting the pic of the poster. We know you realised this, we get it. You must have posted it 5 times now.

I never said it was the wrong image. Whether it's the poster or not, it's not related to the movie.

And that back artwork wasn't used on any poster, so it's just the lazy way out. No excuse.

Then you should be hating T2 Mondo as well. [emoji6]

Also I hope people wouldn't argue that Avengers front artwork isn't seen in the film. [emoji1]

You're just being pedantic now. The Jaws cover and Avengers cover give you an accurate idea about what you're going to see in those films. No one has said there needs to be an exact still taken from the film - you're just twisting people's words to try and prove a point - but I am saying that the Saw cover is specifically implying that a hand is severed in the film. To use an Avengers metaphor- it'd be like Iron Patriot or War Machine appearing on the Avengers cover when they (he) wasn't in it - which is NOT the same thing as the characters posing slightly differently from how they did at any point in the film!!! And Paul, yes we know that it's from the original poster art - but that doesn't make it alright!

You know what he means.

Thanks mate, though I have a sneaky feeling some people on here today are just trying to wind us up :cautious:

If you purchase this at Zavvi.DE with any other 2 blu Ray's and add code BLU3 at the checkout, you get 15% off.

Works with Silver linings Playbook also so you'd just need to add a third title.

So what if the artwork isn't related to the film, if you want to complain, go to the Advertising Standards Authority (in the UK) and let them know its misleading, they like to slap bans on such things.

Can we all just stop posting now, and just let this thread tick over to page 2, and hopefully be forgotten about please..:)

As for the steelbook itself, and in my opinion, its just poor, wierd very small title, and re-using of old outdated and misleading artwork, but worst of all, its a EIV release, and if this ends up like my Crow steelbook, it'll have a nice selection of scratches and terrible paint stretching in the corners.

Suffice to say, I will be avoiding this like the plague.

I've edited a few posts. Let's stop the name calling guys, you need to respect each other's opinions.

If you can't agree with another member, calling them silly or immature will not validate your point. If you must continue this sterile debate, take it to PM.

Further posts with personal attacks will be completely removed.

If you don't like the film you will not buy it in any form.

If you don't like the steelbook artwork but do like the film you will not buy this steelbook and will wait for a 'better' design . . . which may be a LONG time coming!

Well, from someone who hasn't seen this film i.e. myself a severed part of the human anatomy represents it just fine.
Really? You should check it out, it's a really good movie, best in the series by a long shot. I love all the films in the series but the sequels were torture porn to be fair. But if you switch your brain off and take it for what it is, they were great.

But the first is an excellent film and has a thriller vibe to it.

I picked up the first German steel on the cheap with Jigsaw on the front but haven't got around to watching it yet let alone the sequels. Not sure if it's my thing.

In your opinion.
I think the German anniversary stinks . . . and that's my opinion.
I'm looking forward to having the Zavvi in my hand . . . LOL . . . as I think it could be tip-top, first class and excellent!

Well if you think that, good luck.

I think your deluding yourself! That's my opinion!! ;)

Hands up if everyone thinks this steelbook will be a cut above the rest?
I'll put a hand up if you can give me a leg up.
Before I forget, let's give a big hand to whoever had a hand in the design though we'll have to wait until October and see it first hand to judge if it's hand some.
To those like myself who prefer this to the German anniversary steel and vice versa all I can add are Andrew Jackson's famous words:-
"Fear not, the people may be deluded for a moment, but cannot be corrupted"
