we’ll have a new poster by Jonathan Burton for Martin Scorsese’s historical drama, SILENCE. Set in the 17th century, the film is a story about two missionaries who must travel to Japan (where Catholicism is severely outlawed and those who practice it are brutally persecuted) in search of their mentor. Jonathan hit another level with this poster. We were blown away when sketches came in and again once final art was completed. His clean line work and muted colors beautifully emulate a classic Japanese woodcut style that’s unlike anything we’ve seen previously in his work. Just stunning.
