Official announcement from Star Wars.com:

In addition, Iger confirmed that Rian Johnson will write and direct Star Wars: Episode VIII. The film, which continues the saga after the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is set for release on May 26, 2017 — forty years and a day after the release of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Johnson is widely considered one of cinema’s most gifted young filmmakers, having directed the modern sci-fi classic, Looper, as well as Brick and The Brothers Bloom. He was also behind the camera for three episodes of the critically-acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad, including “Ozymandias,” which series creator Vince Gilligan named as the best installment of the show. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman, producer of Looper, Don Jon, Brick, and The Brothers Bloom, are on board to produce.

Going to bed early so the new trailer will be ready waiting for me in the morning. :p

@Drum18 Cineplex Tickets ON SALE!
Only odd thing is there was no 7pm IMAX screening. You had to choose either a double feature of Force Awakens / Last Jedi starting at 3:30pm. OR a 9:30pm showing.

Since its my Birthday that day I said screw it and got the Double Feature IMAX Tickets! Should be fun!

Awesome! Good plan!

Most of the showtimes for opening night a gretting pretty full now!

There's definatly spoilers in there, not sure how much it gives away though. I would say avoid it if you really don't want to find out anything plot wise!:)
Knowing how Disney/Lucasfilm works, ALL the possible spoilers in this, AREN'T!!!!
That's the only reason why I surrendered @kaw

I know what you mean. They are pretty good at not giving away big Plot points. But still...
There are Spoilers and then there are Moments and I guess I'm more worried about the moments getting spoiled for me (if that makes any sense).
Not sure how long I'll last, But I'm going to fight it as long as I can.

Managed to get Midnight showing at BFI IMAX Waterloo in London on the 14th Dec. So PUMPED!

They said tickets were going live at 7am, but used my knowledge of their rubbish booking system and knew they'd probably go live 30 mins early. Proved right and breezed through the checkout! Cannot Wait!!!!
